A.S.M.E. Code Capabilities

B & L Mechanical has both the capabilities and the accrediaton to design, fabricate, install, or perform repair work under the provisions of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the National Board Inspection Code and in accordance with the following descriptions:

  • Fabrication and installation of unfired pressure vessels in accordance with the requirements of A.S.M.E. code Section VIII – Division 1 for “U” stamped vessels.
  • Fabrication and installation of pressure piping in accordance with the requirements of A.S.M.E. Section 1 Boiler Code and A.N.S.1./A.S.M.E. B-31.1 Power Piping Code for power boiler piping systems (“PP” certification).
  • Field and shop welding repairs of code stamped items in accordance with the requirements of the National Board Inspection Code. This authorization includes as a minimum: pressure vessels, heat exchangers, chemical process reactors, fire-tube and water-tube boilers, economizers, etc. (“R” certification).
  • B & L Mechanical maintains both quality control and safety programs for implementation and support of our A.S.M.E. and conventional projects. Personnel are assigned to specific duties in all aspects of our quality control and safety programs. These duties include safety and quality control management for all services, contract, maintenance and code related activities.
