B & L Mechanical, Inc. has announced the completion of the gas pipe installation at Chris Craft’s, Kings Mountain, NC facility. The Kings Mountain, Chris Craft facility is a manufacturing base for their yacht division. Chris Craft is the oldest premier boat manufacturer in the United States with an existing fleet of 11 boat models.
B & L dealt with a very aggressive two and a half week time schedule for total completion for the installation of 1400 ft. of gas pipe and fittings. B & L was successful in providing rapid turnaround of gas pipe design, bid estimate, and pipe installation.
B & L Mechanical Project Manager Tony Davis was quoted upon project completion: “It was a tough schedule, but we were able to pull together to accomplish the project objective.”

Andrew Sink, General Manager at B & L Mechanical, Inc., is proud to announce the recent addition of Bob Dendy to the B & L team.
As Business Development Account Executive, Mr. Dendy will lead the company’s client relationship management with existing clients, as well as develop relationships with new clients into the B & L family of business partners.
Mr. Dendy, a North Carolina native, has over 30 years of experience in the mechanical construction and trades business in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Prior to joining B & L, Mr. Dendy was a regular team member of B & L through the B & L vendor network of partners.
B & L Mechanical, Inc. has announced the completion of the G-1 Upgrade to 3-M’s Greenville, South Carolina facility. The Greenville 3-M facility manufactures pressure sensitive tape and unsupported plastics film and sheet for use in a variety of industries.
B & L provided process piping modifications for the Film Line including installation of four skid mounted heat transfer packages and new chilled water, steam, condensate, compressed air, and drain line piping. Installation of new stainless steel process lines were completed as well.
On the air side, B & L replaced the existing penthouse air washer with a new 110,000 CFM air washer. Supply and return fans were also replaced, with extensive duct modifications made in the penthouse area and Film line itself.
The B & L team worked tirelessly to meet or exceed all of the goals of the project while maintaining 3-M’s aggressive schedule.
