EMR – Experience Modification Rate
As of (5/09) B & L’s current EMR is 0.81.
(EMR has a strong impact upon a business. It is a number used by insurance companies to gauge both past cost of injuries and future chances of risk. The lower the EMR of a business, the lower the worker compensation insurance premiums will be. An EMR of 1.0 is considered the industry average)
B & L completes fuel flexibility project at GE

B & L Mechanical, Inc. has announced the completion of the Fuel Flexibility project to GE’s Greenville, SC facility. The Greenville GE facility manufactures gas turbines and also houses a research and development department.
B & L provided high pressure stainless steel process piping additions which included fabrication and installation of above ground and underground piping. B & L also fabricated and installed three metering skids along with the installation of three pump skids, HTF skids with furnace and vaporizer piping. The project was performed with 100% x-ray of welds on the above ground piping and skids, and 5% random x-ray on the underground piping.
The B & L team worked tirelessly on a 24-hour a day time-line to meet or exceed all of the goals of the project while maintaining GE’s aggressive schedule.
